Note From Webmistress: If you have never been to Julian, YOU MUST GO! What a beautiful little town it is. It's an old mining town, 45 minutes outside of Escondido, California. In October, it's apple picking season. Bed and Breakfasts line the strees, shops for everyone, an old malt shop that still serves milk shakes at the counter, and plenty of apple pie baking. Just a charming little town. Julian Cemetery is an old turn of the century cemetery, with burials dating back to the 1800's. GO! Trust me, you'll LOVE it!

LOCATION: FRONT SECTION OF CEMETERY NEAR ROADSIG STARRED IN SEVERAL FILMS OVER HIS CAREER. HE PLAYED SGT. SCHULTZ IN "STALAG 17". HE PLAYED VARIOUS GERMAN OR RUSSIAN CHARACTERS OF THE 1930-40'S FILMS. SIG DIED WHILE RETURNING TO HIS HOME IN JULIAN FROM A CAMPING TRIP. HE WAS 82.
